effect of rising water and cold weather?

What's the effect of rising water level and cold weather on bass fishing in your opinion?

I caught 15, largemouth and smallies, in about 3 hours of shore fishing on the Monongahela River in PA this morning. A few really nice fish too. It was 45 degrees when I started fishing, the wind was blowing 20mph from the NW and the river was on its way up. Maybe it was the full moon.:D

Barometric pressure has more to do with the bite. Storms and fronts coming and going changes that pressure and fish as well as game are more active..
