AH Marina
Any body know whats going on, floating docks, land storage etc.

Re: AH Marina
Took a ferry from there Saturday.
Saw three head boats tied up and the pile setting crews were working (assuming overtime) but there no place else where you could see any planking between pilings. Not sure the bait shop has reopened but the restaurant upstairs has. |
Re: AH Marina
Lots of heavy equipment and supplies over in the harbor. It's my understanding that they are replacing most of the fixed peers with floating docks. The only peers that will remain fixed are Franks (the one where the ferry docks behind Sissy's) and the fuel dock.
Going to take some time and I would guess once they sink the new pilings for the floaters work should go pretty fast. That is if the pre fabricated floating docks are available and I would image they are in short supply. GOing to be an interesting boating season for sure. |
Re: AH Marina
Had breakfast at Sissys the other day(food was great), but by the looks of the marina , i dont think they will be back to normal before july 4. Not one dock in the water. Glad i didnt pay for a slip down there.

Re: AH Marina
It looked to me like a clammer was going to use the launch ramp. I saw him driving toward the harbor.

What 3 head boats were in the water?

Re: AH Marina
i pulled my boat from AH last year after it was vandalized at the dock and they wouldnt give me a credit for my lost time. My budy still has his there and was told the docks won't be 100% ready till July 1st... and they would give you a credit toward the balance at the end of the season...

Re: AH Marina
I was at AH today. I am at pier 8 and was told it would not be done until mid May. I did see floating docks in the parking lot. They look simular to the ones there before.
