Sat, sun ling report
 

Ling fishing wasn't what I expected on Saturday guys who fished hard and didn't get discouraged by slow bite ended up with a dozen ling a piece some guys gave up early and just made the best of it.
Sunday was even less productive for ling but we saw some cod in the mix hopefully it will get better after this storm.

Thanks for the report. It sounds like you guys gave it your all. I'm hoping it picks up soon. I recall last year at this time many great reports on the Ling grounds.

what would cause the Ling fishing to be so different this year from last? Overfished ya think?:confused:

I agree with Tony. Also, Super Storm Sandy scattered a lot of the wrecks. We could just hope for the best.

All the melting snow will be comming into the ocean. Doesn't bode well for fishing. What boat were you on?

I just checked my logs from last year and it seemed a little better but not much.

Feb 19- Tagged Fish - 1 Blackfish, 8 Ling. Slow day on boat. Day before was much better.
March 2- Big Jamaica 21 Fat Ling.
April 1- Paramount -- 10 Ling. Bad Conditions the day after a heave.
