I've been a member for a few months, but hadn't had anything to post. First I'd like to say what a great site! I've found a lot of useful information, everybody here seems to have a willingness to provide fellow anglers with knowledge and tips. That's something some fishermen have a hard time doing... I'm from the thought of the more we share the sport, the more we will get out of it. I always find time to get my son and his friends near some water, it doesn't matter what we're fishing for. On this trip We had a group go for some ice fishing to upstate NY for a contest we've been going to for 20 years. We didn't bring home any prizes this year just some good memories. We wound up with 20 perch, and 8 pickrel., biggest being 20 in.

Welcome to the site, nice report not a bad at all on the ice plus kids catching fish makes it twice as awsome! Where about up state ny?

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I look forward to trading stories and reports with you, and maybe be able to add some decent content myself. We were fishing on Highland Lake, which is in Highland Lake NY. It's our once a year ice fishing venture.

To answer your question Skunk City, I do most if not all of my fishing in NJ. I live in Monmouth County and usually keep it to about a 30 radius.

Welcome to the site, lot's of good people and info. Lot's of B-BUSTING as well and occasionally a digruntled member but def the best site IMO. Met alot of great people/fishermen and gained a huge amount of info as well.
Meet & Greets are always a good time too!
