2-26 Offshore Sea Bass Report

The Sea Bass do not want to stop feeding! Hopefully we will get a break with the weather for the Wednesday night trip. If we do not then today was the Grand Finally for the 2013 Winter Giant Sea Bass Season.

With the threat of increasing east winds we made a quick trip to the wrecks, hoping for a night bite which has occurred often this season. The ocean was flat when we arrived but, the current was screaming! Other than a few ling and an occasional sea bass fishing was very slow. As the sun rose the fishing began to pick up.

By the time we headed home we had another boat limit of Giant Sea Bass up to 7.75LBS and many porgies.

The pool winners were:
Mike Meloy from Swarthmore PA with a 7.75LB Sea Bass,
Gus Bouikidis from Phila PA with a 6.75LB Sea Bass.

If we do make it out Wednesday night I expect to have another good trip.
After Sea Bass closes we will head to Dry Dock for a week or two and when we return we will either make a cod trip or two or the Striped Bass may be in by then.
