That is amazing!!!! That marlin had no shot! Makes u think what the sailors of the Indianapolis had to deal with in the pacific...incredible.

Yeah, being hooked up to the boat kinda limited the marlin's options to being eaten by sharks or hung for photos.

That's why when sharking they say to keep a live bluefish hooked and swimming at the side of the boat. Other than the fact that at times a mako may have a preference for something live the sound waves or distress signal a blue fish gives off out can be picked up for miles supposedly by other sharks. Makes perfect sense when you see a video like that. A shame for the marlin to meet it's fate that way. It doesn't take long in the wild for a good day to turn bad!

Good idea to keep a bluefish on the side.. keep em away from the trophy fish your trying to land!!
