Greenwood Lake 12/15

Got out on the lake today with a few buddies for some jigging. Was on the water for sunrise and had cold but calm conditions. Ended up with 3 Walleye, 15 or so Crappie, and 1 each of White and Yellow Perch between us. Catch of the day was my buddy's chunky 28" Walleye that was released to keep growing.. Biggest Crappie was a 14 1/2" slab that is my new personal best.

Nice catch skunk, I've been getting walleye and crappie every time out this fall in greenwood lake awsome fishery. Me and my buddy got a dozen walleye last time out, hands down best walleye fishing in the state. Don't understand why people waste there time in monksville when the fishing is 1000 times better 5 min. Up the road, for walleye and musky that is. Keep it up the more you learn the lake the more walleye you will boat. There is certain spots that will hold walleye everytime you go out.

Awesome catch! Great looking Walleye. That Crappie definitely would've been better in a pan.

How deep were the walleye? Last time I tried to get on greenwood was this time last year. Drove all the way up there to find out the damn lake was lowered. Unreal. Do they lower Greenwood every year and if so when usually?

They haven't lowered it this year Eddie. Finding a Marina that will let you launch can be a challenge though. if you plan on going be sure to pm me before you go so I can direct you to a open launch I know you can use just in case you can't get a marina to let you launch.

I believe that last year was the scheduled extra draw down for dock repairs, etc. It shouldn't be that low this year.
