Central NJ Water Report Today
Wind took a real toll on the state, especially here in central NJ...looks like a war zone. Rain not so much and water levels today are not extreme from what I saw this morning
I can't comment on all waters; however, the Raritan River thus far is no where near the flood levels of other recent storms. This may change of course, but given the fact that central NJ did not get the large levels of rain from Sandy, many streams, ponds, and lakes may be fishable if ya can get there. God bless those along the coast and our thoughts and prayers are with those that are struggling to get through this horrific mess |
Re: Central NJ Water Report Today
Went to Nomahegan in Cranford for a cpl hours of carp fishing yesterday and it looked fine except for a black tarp and orange fence that they put around the entire lake. It wasn't going to stop me from fishing though as it took me 45 mins. to drive the 5 miles to get there. Water looked fine, a little stained, but no different than normal. Had a cpl light pick-ups and a slow run-off but nothing got hooked. Lots of surface activity (bass and sunfish), so I guess things are pretty much back to normal.

Re: Central NJ Water Report Today
I drove by the North Branch yesterday and it was running a bit higher than earlier in the week.
Duke Island Park had the gates closed though and a sign saying "Park closed due to flooding." I wasn't looking to wet a line yesterday, just get out of the house to have a look around. |
