Fishing the big D

Fished after supper last night at my house between Belevedere Nj and my house another slow night caught a sunny on a top water and 1 14" smallmouth on a tube jig there are millions of shad fingerling still coming down best hatch I have seen in years its hard competeing with the shad!

I fished this morning at Scudders Falls for an hour and got skunked. I also saw lots of shad fry.

Any thoughts on what to use to imitate the baby shad?
