Just wondering as i read everyone killing them there, that i ask all my fishing buddies for some help!!!! I want to go out friday morning as i don't have to be to work until 2:00,so i figured i will go out in the morning. Just looking to finally catch something from my boat!! any help ?:) :D

Go to Dow's Bait and they will put you on the fish! Great people and very knowledgeable! The best way to learn a lake is to pick the brains of people that are out there every day. Good luck!

Advice I got from Dow's very early one morning when I rented a boat was to use their live bait and fish all around Great Cove.

Fished every inch and didn't get squat...did better once I gave up there and went north around the bend, across to the islands and cable ferry, etc.

My point ? I am convinced Dow's didn't try to 'put me on the fish' and instead wanted me to burn as little gas as possible since the gas is on their dime.Sure, those little motors don't gulp gas but I'm sure it adds up for them over the summer.

Maybe I'm wrong, but that's my opinion.

I catch alot of fish at night in great cove, Dow's has always been great, Laurie even gave my son a set of wing nuts free, when he forgot them for the trolling motor battery! She would rather see you catch fish and come back again!

Fly rod with the smallest poppers you can find, or
streamer patterns...If your not familiar with the fly rod,
ultra lite spinning gear with small fly patterns under a bobber....

Once you've caught a few sunnies, chunk em up for kitties or
live line a few for any beast thats hungry...:p

Sounds like you got bad mojo. Two important things always step into the boat with your right foot and never bring bananas on the boat. Hope that helps.

Never mind the superstition...PM Fasteddie, Bunnkerdunker or Catfishonthelake (remember him?).
