Re: Big Fat Tiger.....

Beautiful fish! Had my first Muskie follow 2 days ago on the Delaware. I was fishin for smallmouth along a drop off using a medium depth crankbait. Thought I felt a nibble but wasn't sure. When my lure got close enough to see it was still about 8 feet down and I could see what I thought was a pike following it. As soon as I saw it, it turned right around and left, so I could not get a positive ID. I switched to a husky jerk and threw to the same area and got another follow. This time the fish came in nipping at the heels of my lure. It opened its mouth 3 times and I thought it was going to strike but I could almost hear the fish thinking," This doesn't look quite right". This time when it turned away I could see the stripes. I will be going back after that fish on Sat evening. Any suggestions. Should I wait till dark? Would like to try those lures you suggest but I don't know if I could get one by Sat. Do they sell them locally? Also, what kind of fish finder is that. Have you ever caught a fish you saw on it or are they mostly for finding the right structure. Thanks for your help, Bruce
