Big D 4/10
 

Hit the big river today from 11am to 6pm. guys fishing off the bank were doing alright on some shad, I gave em a shot but came up empty, shad bite died as soon as I got there. Wind was a real pain in the ass today, made drifting and jigging impossible. Had to anchor up and live line some shiners, sent down some worm harasses as well. I didn't come up with much today, 1 smallie about 10 inches, 1 good size sucker at a whopping 22 inches, 1 monster Eel about 27 inches. This eel was about 4- 4.5 inches in diameter, best fight of the day. Only other thing I caught were rock bass. I should still be there now but unfortunately something came up. Ill bet them Walleye are biting right now, I know there biting right now. Not a very productive day but definitely better than working 70 hours a week. TIGHT LINES FELLAS!!!:)

Can't knock the variety though. This wind has been a major pain lately. I've been wanting to hit Hopatcong from my 'yak but don't feel like going for a swim!
