hopatcong yesterday
went out yesterday evening for a couple hours on lake hopatcong. fished around the state park for a bit with no bites, then moved on over by barnes bros, nothing. finally moved up to around brady bridge and found much warmer water and fish biting. picked at panfish for about an hour and then had to head back to the ramp. nothing that big, but the action was pretty steady.
there were a couple people on the rocks at brady bridge when i was heading back around 6:45, anybody from here? i waved can't believe the jet skiiers are out already... |

Re: hopatcong yesterday
i took my boat out again today, but this time headed straight for the brady area. had a nice mixed bag, bluegills, pumpkinseeds, crappie, yellow perch and shiners all making an appearance.
lots more people on the water today than yesterday... even a dude on a paddleboard and water skiiers! |
Re: hopatcong yesterday
oh yeah, the trout they just put in are biting also. i don't personally target them during the closure, but i talked to one guy who caught 4 down by the dam (fair game to C&R on hopatcong during the closure).
