Official water temperature thread!

** I would appreciate if a moderator could sticky this!! **

So now that this sudden warmth is upon us, the spring is basically here and I was hoping that when possible, guys could post the water temps of places that they visit where ever it may be as it would help guys figure out where to go and how things are warming up. It would also help people figure out places as far as the spring spawning season as well.

I'll start with yesterday:

Farrington Lake and Westons Mill pond had a suprising surface temp around 57*F two feet into the water column. Certain areas a degree or two lower or higher depending on depth. Only managed a few pickerel and we're thinking that the dramatic rise in temps may have the fish confused for a little bit longer until they get further adjusted to it.

**EDIT** We can keep updating this throughout the year. I could see it being usefull year round.

3/14- Passaic River Dundee Lake section was 58 degrees.

The USGS website has water temperatures for most of its stations...very useful.

The problem with that website is that it only has 30 listings around the state and half are ocean locations. The only lake I really noticed was Spruce Run (still helpful though) and the rest were rivers.

My buddy informed me that some lakes in the Monmouth county area were around 53*F today.

Spruce run is still around 44-45*F and the D&R canal in New Brunswick is showing about 52*F according to USGS.

Spruce run is around 51* as of today. Thankfully, it looks like at the end of the week, we finally have that warm weather restarting with highs in the upper 60s-low 70s and overnight lows getting back into the 50s! Here comes the spawn!! :D
