Shore Report 3/23
Went shore fishing today afterschool. It was a half day today so we got an early start. Me and the old man started out at the Rancocas Creek at 2:00 pm. We fished there until 3:30 pm. I had a really bad start. The old man had 5 perch, 2 pickeral, 1 sunnie and some kind of baitfish. I only had 2 perch. All of the perch there except for 2 were over 1lb.(not both my 2:p ). All of our fish came on white Mr. Twisters. Then, we hit the small spillway. I had 4 perch there and my dad had 2 pickeral and 1 perch there all on Rapalas. We left around 4:30 pm. We had 18 fish in a little over 2 hours of fishing. Not bad for a rainy nasty day. It just wasn't my day:o . Hopefully I will be on Mirror Lake Saturday and Sunday.

Thanks Jmurr. I was suprised we didn't see any crappies. We typically would find crappies up there with a few perch mixed in. But 1 lb. perch are alright in my book:D .

Re: Shore Report 3/23
Please send me 4 1lb perch and a few 11" plus crappies. I don't want to catch them, just eat them.

Re: Shore Report 3/23
You are lucky to live around good panfishing. Monmouth County has relatively bad panfishing, everything is either sneaking into private water or catching loads of dinks.

You have to be careful on Rainbow lake. They have different size and creel limits there. I'm not sure what they are but I know a panfish has to be big to keep it at rainbow
