Linguine With Clams

Had this the other day and it was great. I liked the bigger clams as opposed to the smaller ones.
1 lb linguine 3 dozen clams 3/4 stick butter 1/4 cup olive oil 3 cloves chopped garlic 1 cup white wine 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes 2 tablespoons chopped parsley 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Boil water and cook Linguine while making the sauce Melt butter in pan then add olive oil Add garlic and cook one minute Add wine and and seasonings (Parsley, Black and Red Pepper) Cook on low for 15 minutes. Add clams and cook till they open Serve over linguine, add grated cheese Leif |

Thanks for the recipe. I went clamming in the Navesink this weekend and did good. Made white clam sauce on Sunday with chopped clams and your recipe tonight. Both the wife and I liked your recipe better and it was much easier than shucking and chopping the clams Greg |
