Bill's Blackfish Crab Cakes
 
Your can use Crab meat for this as well. Tried it for the first time last week with Blackfish. It was real good!!
INGREDIENTS


· 1 pound blackfish shredded
· 1 1/2 tablespoons dry bread crumbs
· 2 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley
· salt and pepper to taste
· 1 egg
· 1 1/2 tablespoons mayonnaise
· 1/2 teaspoon ground dry mustard or guldens spicy brown
· 1 dash hot pepper sauce (optional)
· 1 stalk celery chopped fine
1/2 red bell pepper or hot pepper chopped fine
· 2 teaspoons old bay seasoning or fish seasoning

DIRECTIONS


1. Preheat oven broiler.
2. Mix together blackfish, bread crumbs, parsley, salt and pepper,spice, red pepper and celery.
3. Beat together egg, mayonnaise, hot sauce and mustard. Combine with other ingredients and mix well. Form into patties and place on a lightly greased broiler pan or baking sheet.
4. Broil for 10 to 15 minutes, until lightly brown or fry in olive oil.

awesome with stripe bass as well

You don't need to pre cook.


I'm not the saviest of chef's so this may be an obvious question to some of you, but is the shredded blackfish already cooked or raw, before you make the cakes and broil them?

tried this recipe with stiped bass last night - delicious!!
