Shock Absorbing Foot Rest..

Anyone have any success with those padded things that go under your feet at the helm that is supposed to help your back?

I have been on small boats way to much and the beating is really getting to my neck and back and starting to think i need to either stick with big boats or take myself to a spine doctor to get checked out because it is getting out of control..

Wondering if they are worth the money to buy them!

Thanks in advance for the help!

Sportfishing,

The mats made a noticable differance on my banged up knees when I used one. Not sure about the spine but it couldn't hurt. I got a used one from a boat dealer that was going to toss it. Told me someone traded a boat and left it. Might be worth a shot to check some local dealers. I now use it in my garage when I'm working on whatever and on my feet for a long time.

Thanks man! appreciate it.. Anything is worth a try. My boat runs fast and is a little on the lighter side, but sometimes that unforeseen pound is unavoidable and is starting to do a number on my back and neck!
