30 Knot gusts tomorrow is not the only thing that Blows

Don’t complain about fluke or striper regs again if you don’t vote tomorrow. You have two choices tomorrow and only one has come out in support of our way of life. Watch the podcast that NJFishing linked last week and make up your own mind. Personally I am voting for the guy that says enough is enough. NJ has been getting ripped off by every other state. We pay the most to Washington and get the least and that includes recreational fish stocks. Our kids have to throw back fish that are bigger than what is sold in the store.

I read West coast reports, the party boat and charter boat captains are very active in the political field. I see all this being talked about on here and very few for hire captains chiming in. It still irks me to this day when I read what captain Ron wrote "I was sitting on the bus ready to ride to Washington while all the other boats were shaping up to go out that day"

Andy, San Diego has one of largest Partyboat/Charter fleets on the West Coast. The fishing tourism business is unreal. There also used to be a huge commercial tuna industry until they got regulated out of business so they went to foreign registry to survive. The boats left and most if not all canneries closed on the southwest coast. I think they learned to speak up or lose it all.
I agree with what Capt. Ron said. I was also on one of the busses with the Bogans and their crews as many of the boats sailed from our inlet. The second time I was disappointed in the turnout . I rode with Capt. Bob and Capt. Howard Bogan and a lot of our crews. I would like to think that we made a difference.
I will be at the poll tomorrow bright and early. I will vote for the same person as I voted for last time. A lot of people say my vote won't make a difference . I tell them, you will never know if you don't.

Ok so that didn't go well for the third time for Jack. Can't fiddle while Rome is burning I guess.
Trump no longer an asset but a liability apparently. Hope that NJ Fisheries management will now try to work with the new administration for enough is enough. Time will tell.

If she follows the science and the law, I'm happy with my vote :)

Reason, if she doesn't will you still be happy? What if she's a Peta member? We don't know. At least the other guy told us how he stands. I guess we will find out . I'll start another thread in 4 years so we can compare notes on this and the state of the Stripers.

Man I cringe so hard every time someone says "follow the science" as if it isnt often manipulated
