Best/last night trip for me this year
 

Just when things really got going…Throwing in the towel early this year. Fished my last night trip this Thursday night with Phil for his yearly trip with me. On the way to the lake I slipped on the boat trailer while fueling up the boat. Took me an awhile but got in the truck and headed to the lake. Met up with Phil and not being able to put weight on my leg I pushed through it to get this angler out on the water before heading to the emergency room. Hobbled into the boat with the help of Phil worked the big pond picked up 2 eyes and a small brid. The rest of the night was really slowwww. Ran all over and fished some spots I haven’t visited in awhile. One of the last ones I had in mind and it paid off! Bait blowing up brids smashing the bait and eyes slurping their supper. Phil got to work and put a bunch nice fish and his limit in the boat and picked up a 24-1/2” brid. He also had a few blowups on the plug but didn’t get the hook. Big thanks to Phil for helping throughout the night to get the trip in! I really have some of the best clients! Taking the next couple weeks off to rest up and follow up with a MRI. Thanks for heading out and thanks for staying out extra time to get some fish in the boat, especially with the injured knee.

Mike is a first class guide. He actually wrapped his leg in his back brace to give himself some stability so we could head out for the night. And, he put in extra time even with his injured leg. I’ve fished with many guides in my life, and Mike is consistently the best.
