day 44 and i caught some more
 

I went out on the cong today to get some crappies and found some to play with. when i went out at 9am the ice was firm not rotting on top there was 9" of ice and it was in good shape the shore where i got on was not to bad yet i did bring a plank just in case but did not need it at that time. by the time i came off the ice at around 5:30pm the ice had only a small amount of rot going on. i ended up getting 14 sunnies 8 crappies 5 perch and of course 1 friggin slime dart, seems like not a day goes by and one of those things pays me a visit. the temps are going to be a bit cooler Saturday night into Sunday morning so lets see how things go then. i kept only 4 crappies for a stir fry tonight. pics below. the crappie in the pic was 1lb 4oz..
