Raritan/SH Bay Sturgeon is back

Seems like a yearly ritual. The Surgeon is back jumping around Earle. Something special at Earle to it.

Go figure. Cleaner waters seem to make a difference

I’m confused as to what you’re trying to get across ? Are you trying to say it’s been just one solitary sturgeon jumping all over the bay?

Sturgeon have been there a long time. Their always launching out of the water early season. Been doing so for a long long time!!!

You see them jumping all the time in the middle of the Raritan Bay Chapel Hill. One almost jumped into my Dad's boat years back! There is not shortage of them.

The only reason I asked is the post “the sturgeon IS back around Earle” just made it sound like he thought it was a solitary fish.

FWIW I had 2 breach almost simultaneously last week in the deeper section between the 11A and red 12 in the Reach. Also ran into a decomposed carcass 4 days later just south of WB light.

Reported the carcass to the sturgeon hotline.
