Hickory shad

Took 81 year old brother Joe fishing in Manasquan Inlet, NJ, this afternoon on the low tide during a nor’easter with showers and a flood warning. He said that he had two bumps. I caught an 18” hickory shad on Grumpy’s Bait and Tackle Ava A-17. Brant, osprey, oystercatchers, loons, cormorants, mallards, crows, gulls and terns were nearby. Took pics. Went carping in flooded 59 degree Robert G Martin Lake this evening in the rain. Threw out a can of corn for chum, then caught nothing. Saw a double rainbow. Canada geese, mallards, crows, gulls, great egrets, great blue heron, swallows, and purple martens were flying. Took pics.
