Successful Lure Modification ? ! ?
 

I was having decent success with a certain lure but thought that maybe with a few simple modifications I could improve on it's performance . No way to tell if it really helped or not , but it did catch fish and was fun . I do similar things to a lot of tackle .

My obsession is modifying soft plastics using a candle flame to melt the ends of the parts from different lures to come up with something unique. I've never seen any of the new shapes/ actions sold.

Nice pastime when I can't fish. Better yet - catching fish on those creations!

Been using one of these thread burning tools for over 40 years .
Work great changing lures , and even just remelting hook holes shut .
