Caught, tagged and released a 24.5” weakfish with a plain hook Ava A-17 in Manasquan Inlet this evening on the low tide.

That's a real nice weakfish! They are catching a lot of them out on eastern L.I. Let's hope they are making a come back in this area also. Tight Lines!

There was a time (early 2000s?) when Sept. - Oct. at the Manasquan Inlet meant weakfish on Pink Fin-S.

What was also interesting is the amount of times I saw weakfish mixed in on those fall bluefish blitzes you used to see...sometimes as prey, other times as another predator in the mix.

Like Detour66 said, would love to see them make a comeback.
