Barnegat Bay Fluke

We started our season with a very slow pick this morning. Had no drift at first so I started casting a jig and after about an hour landed a nice 21 inch. My 2 friends landed 5 shorts and I had 3 more plus a small Striper.

Re: Barnegat Bay Fluke

My son & I found a few patches of fluke to 20 inches in the upper regions of the day during short trips mid week. Went out today and I all I can say is that it was a grind. Fished for 5 hours and only had 3 bites combined (all coming in the first hour). Luckily we made the best of those bites catching one slot keeper each and my son catching a just short. Only saw 5 other fluke caught & 4 of those were thrown back.
