Installing a new chart/FF. Decided to rewire and clean up dash wires that were a spaghetti mess. Finally got the job completed today and everything works EXCEPT the new unit I installed. After checking every solder and crimp I made, double checking connections etc etc for 15 minutes I got it going....:rolleyes:

Pic speaks for itself. Need more time on the water and less time at work... brain is fried :D

Thanks I NEEDED THAT, I just laughed so hard it took my breath away .
Because there is no doubt that is something I would do.

Spring is close , but still can’t come fast enough .

Yeah I do crap like that all the time.. Its called being human.


Check every single possibility except the most blatantly obvious and simple possibility... If its any comfort, that sort of thing often happens to VERY intelligent and competent folks!

Just finishing my new electronics install also. Through hull came today. I decided to also do an Add A Battery kit for a dedicated house battery. It is alot of work and figuring, wire and fuse sizing. I'm an electrician and figuring boat wiring is much different than my normal work. Hoping to be in the water next week and get those new electronics working.
