Lewes DE party boat/open boat recommendation
 

Hope everyone is doing well..

I know most of you guys are from NJ and NY, but I am wondering if I can get some recommendations for Delaware party boat or open boat? I live in MD so NJ/NY boats would be some work..

Think there is a party boat that runs out of Indian River in Delaware as well as a few charter boats.

Agreed re Thelma Dale, which fishes the same Old Grounds stone beds as the Cape May boats but with a shorter ride and a shorter flounder / fluke size limit.

Look into the GRIZZLY out of Lewes great capt and boat. Sometimes he runs open trips.

The party boat thelmadale in Lewes. You need to call for reservations. Beleive you have to be there by 6:15 AM as they check temp before boarding at least it was that over a week ago. They usually fish around the old ground areas. If you are bucktailing anywhere fron 4 to 8oz would be suggested. And sea gods make you pay dearly in the rough bottom. Beleive the price is 110 all day trip. Will be going there more as I'm from De. and De. has been put on the Jersey quarantine list for out of state travellers. Usually fish Belmar nj for flounder. Hate to get stopped and forced to quarantine as you have to stay in a room where quarantined for 14 days with exceptions for food and not many other reasons. Not too many headboats around there but charters available. The head boat is $110 in lewes. There is one at Indian river alsoJudy mae or something like that. I beleive Ocean city may have a couple headboats.Good luck whatever you do.

The 16 1/2 flounder tasted no different that the nj 18 flounder I ate bout week and a half ago.

Lewes part boat is in fisherman's wharf, boat is Thelma dale IV. Charter boat in lewes, katydid ,but hard to get a date. There is also the grizzly in lewes, charter boat.
