Kid friendly carp suggestions close to Bridgewater?

Did spring trout fishing locally and caught the 5 year old a bunch of trout. Looking to get the kid a "big" fish and was hoping someone has a kid friendly spot around Bridgewater they can recommend. Something that doesn't require a long walk from the car and doesn't have too much brush or steep banks. Anybody have any suggestions?

Raritan river is loaded with them and pretty big too. Cant find any stretch without them. Id suggest anywhere where it's slow rather than rapid.
