Sunday afternoon on the D
 

Took the son out to the river to get some exercise. :). First spot i wanted to hit was blocked off so did some exploring. Found a decent area and fished it pretty well. Covered alot of ground and was able to come up with 1 smallie about 13 / 14 inches. My son landed a buck shad on a swim shad. Go figure. We were fishing way north of the gap. Did a little more exploring but didn't come up with any more fish. Funny thing was on the way home passed by the gap and everything was shut down; barricades up at all the parking areas, even the boat launch. They were open friday though, go figure. Be safe out there everyone.

Was on the river Saturday morning. Saw the barricades everywhere and thought for a minute we were in communist Russia back in the 80’s. This situation sucks. Gladly there’s fishing to make us all feel better. Bet the boy loved the fight of the American Shad. They can kick some ass for sure. Get em’ brother!:D
