Little Ice left! Weekend report! 2/2/20
 

Got on the ice at Hopatcong state park yesterday with my Russian brethren! Jigging was pretty good while chasing flags was a slow/ medium pick. Not super fast and not super slow. We had a bunch of Pickerel, Perch and Gills by days end. Kept 8 Perch for the table and let the rest go! The ice is melting quickly even with yesterday and today being cloudy. I’m pretty sure I’m taking the ice gear out of the truck this week. There’s just not enough options out there and the state park gets old after a few trips. Good times no doubt but I need more. Lol! TIGHT LINEZ FELLAS! FLAGGGG!!!:D

Been cracking those Rainbows as well. On the Outofline Jigs! Some of the Browns came on plugs!

yellow perch for dinner NICE. Glad to hear that you did not have to pull anybody out the day i saw you at state park, there was a lot of people out there. The ice is going to take a beating this week not ready to give up hope yet, it ain't over till it's over. going to have to take a sabbatical after tomorrow.

man we made the best of it, but this is the worst ice season BY FAR hands down. even last year we had a few weeks of better options!

Some ice is better than no ice. Glad you guys made the most of what we had. In the past, some of our worst winter storms have been later in the season so keep that gear handy. That's a nice bag of some fattie perch way to get it man!! Hope there's more ice for ya soon.
