Quick electric only lake question

I have a trolling motor and 6hp Yamaha on my inflatable. I would prefer to keep outboard on, as it helps weight distribution in boat. Would this be possible in electric only lakes, or would it have to be trimmed out of water? I also keep no fuel in it because I use an external tank. Help appreciated!!

The rules vary by impoundment. Look into it before you depart.

Mabey pull the prop as proof you are not using it

if you do not have a tank in the vessel there should be no problem. definitely check regs on the body you plan to fish.

Any public lake in NJ you are fine leaving the ob on the boat. My boat tracks better with the outboard in the water so i always leave it down. I never remove the fuel tank either. Private lakes have their own rules.

I always leave my outboard down in the water to track better, NEVER had a problem anywhere with doing that. I wouldnt worry about it.

you should bring fuel and have it hooked up or ready to hook up in case of emergency, no place will give you a hard time if you use it in an emergency. if it's going to be on there anyway, it's a good back up if something happens and you need to get off.
