Flukin Sunday
1 Attachment(s)
Left the dock at 630 to a nice heave outside. We made our way to the spot south of the inlet. It was a slow pick throughout the day in about 75 feet of water. No bait, rig or gulp seemed to produce better than the other. The highlight of the day was one of our crew hooked up with a small thresher about 4 ft long, It gave us a nice show doing some nice leaps for a few minutes till it broke off. Ended up with 7 keepers up to about 4 lbs and a bonito. Good Day

Re: Flukin Sunday
Nice work Tony.... Had a Thresher hit a bucktail on our boat a few years ago. He put on a nice show jumping clear out of the water several time before spitting the hook.

Re: Flukin Sunday
Nice work but what I cant understand is why is there such an abundance of larger fish out in Montauk or Nantucket how come these fish dont migrate south into our waters those fish you caught there are considered babies out there and would be thrown back

Re: Flukin Sunday
All I'm saying Bob it's just amazing how many 10+ pound fish can be caught in one area of water where as the whole raritan bay or down the coast of NJ this past few years have been far and few I have fished NJ twice this year to show nothing for it I have been to Montauk 5 times this year and every trip has produced numerous 7 to 9 pound fish with at least 1 or more DD coming up every time August 10th there were 3 DD's caught with my 10.2 getting beat in the pool by a 12.4 I don't get the reason for this that's all I'm saying
