Atlantic Highlands Marina and all others on the Bay

Hauled the boat today to see if I lost a scupper in my livewell. Water wouldn't drain so figured it broke off. What I found was an insane amount of barnacle life on all my stainless areas and scuppers. Nothing on the bottom paint or motor just the scuppers areas. Make sure you guys check out your bottoms this season. It's the first week of July and I had more growth then the past 5 years combined. Transducers were covered as well. Just a heads up!!!!

Any idea why? Figured with the colder water at the start of the season the barnacle growth would be minimal?

Or is it a nutrient thing? Algae blooms have anything to do with it?

I have no clue and it wasn't just me saw two other boats doing the same thing their rubber scuppers were clogged up with barnacle life. Never see this happen before in the 17 years I've been in Atlantic.
