Back Bay Bunkers
 

The bunkers are in thick along the back bay beaches. There seemed to be more action in the middle of the bay where gannets and gulls were working yesterday. Casting plugs from the beach resulted in instant hookups with adult bunkers. Right now there appears to be much more bait than bass. When the wind dies down, I'm sure the first boat-caught bass will start showing up in the reports pretty soon. If you're fishing from the beach, check out the traditional early season spots. Something is about to start. All of that bait has to wake things up.

I don't have much time on my hands...but if anyone wants to snag or net me 50 of them Sunday morning so I can bring fresh when I go catfishing on Monday I'll give you $100 for them. They'd have to be caught Sun AM though. I don't feed my kitties any 2-day olds. :D PM me if anyone can do it.
