Good jigging, solid ICED PIKE!!! 1/26
 

Met up with some of the boys on a North Jersey lake this Saturday to catch some fish. The jigging was really good with Gills, Crappie and Perch to 12.5 inches coming through the icy holes. The tip up fishing was terrible however. A few Bass, super hungry Perch and Pike came on the Tip-ups. Big fish of the day was a Pike that slammed my jumbo Shiner and took all the line off my spool. Fish fought hard and ripped the line through my fingertips 3 different times. Nice, chunky pissed off female! LOL! Fish taped out at 36 inches with a pinched tail, LOL! Get on the ice while you can! You never know when it’s going to disappear!

nice pike, sounded like the jumbos were playin nice too.. always happens when you get the grill fired up and you are half way through cooking and FLAGGGGG. sounds like a fun day. did you get the perch on bare jigs or did you have the meat on them. i have been doing well with both. i am only using meal worms right now.mousies are hard to find. looks like you scared the shit out of that beast figures the fish takes a dump just as the pic is taken.
