Labor Day Report
Good fishing again today
Bonito - Albacore - Bluefish - Mackerel - Mahi-mahi - Fluke
We started out close to home jigging some blue fish.
That was over rather quickly and then we headed offshore to
try chumming.
We caught some fish right away, and saw them swimming in the slick.
But the bite did not turn on.
We tried several other areas after that, and saw fish almost
everywhere we went, but, we still did not get a good bite going.
Finally, on our last stop they were ready to feed.
There were few Bonito, blue fish, and lots of mackerel.
We even caught a few fluke on our last drop.
The pool winner was:
Sammuel Florea from Reading PA with a 5 LB Bonito.
Some of the Bonito and Albacore have been caught on bait, but,
most have been caught on small jigs and other artificial lures.

It looks good for tomorrow. The big Jamaica will be sailing at 7:30AM.
If we run across Blue Fish on the ride out we will stop and do
a little jigging for them.
We are mainly looking to Chum, and fish for Bonito, and Albacore,
which have been mixed with the mackerel and Bluefish.

CANYON TUNA
We also have a canyon tuna trip scheduled for a 7AM.
Departure on Thursday September 6th.
There were good reports of Yellowfin caught just inshore
the canyon yesterday and today.

This weekend we will be sailing at 7:30AM for
Bonito, albacore, blue fish, and mackerel.
