Great day fluking
 

Wanted to share a nice little report from today.

I finally convinced my girlfriend who has never really fished let alone on a boat to jump on a last min planned open boat aboard the Golden Touch.

Got to our spot by 6:30am and before 7am my girlfriend had two nice 20” keepers in the cooler while I had broken off two bucuktails and yet to even get a hit yet!

As the day beat on we put a real hurting on the fluke with a full boat limit, and majority of our fish in the 4-6lb range.

The girl stuck at the rail all day and even through lulls was determined!

Highlight of the trip was last drift with 5min to go, her rod doubles over and she landed a SOLID 5lber, after we got ther fish in the boat I get an absolute monster hit and landed a 6-7lber.

Big thanks to Captain John and Richie for making it such an enjoyable day, love fishing on this boat as not only does the fishing and effort always exceed my expectations it’s just a big, spacious, and comfortable boat.

Time to nurse my sunburn and crack a few beers.

Golden Touch is a great boat with an excellent reputation. Great to hear you but more so your gf had an experience most of us hope for, not easy to grind it out at the rail but she sounds like a trooper. Happy for you, more for her! Great job! It's why we need to fight for this resource, it's as much about the experience of a beautiful day on the water as it is about the catch even if the catch usually is what makes the experience what it is!

Absolutely! I take some of my guy friends out fishing and if we don’t catch instantly it’s more of a day drinking on the water. I must say she’s a keeper, even WANTED me to teach her bucktailing which she caught her biggest of the day on. She knows I live to fish and have a passion for it so I was happy to see her not only have success but get in the game and want to catch. What was cool we not only catching keepers and shorts but all the bycatch, searoboins being her favorite because of their eyes, wings, legs, and grunts. You By the end of the trip she was unhooking shorts, putting strip baits on, and insisting on only pink shine gulps. So proud. Wish I could post pics.

As for the boat, couldn’t be happier with the operation, really great crew and vessel, highly recommend for either the most experienced or navas Angelers.
