Regular Hoagie???

This is not fish related.

When I was young there was a regular hoagie. I never see it anymore. Can anybody tell me what's on a regular hoagie?

Salami, ham and cappacola along with lettuce and tomato I believe. Maybe some provolone as well.

Isn't that an Italian hoagie?

That is an italian hoagie, but you gotta have the onions. Replace the capicola with bologna and the provolone with american cheese and you have an American hoagie (which is what I'd call a regular hoagie).

The real question though is sweet peppers or hot peppers? :D

Yes, hot peppers! I remember the regular hoagie (Sub). It was pressed ham, salami, cappacola, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, oregano, salt, pepper, oil and vinegar. The very best hoagies or subs are made by Mikes in Belmar (Not Jersey Mikes) IMHO. :)
