Have no idea what happened to the Bunker and what follows, no Stripers. Had a couple of Charters that people wanted to try to get Stripers. I had no luck the last three trips. No Bunker No Stripers. I have been doing a combo adding fishing for Sea Bass and till today it has always been a boat limit. I have no idea, the fish where there but bit like they were on a diet. At least the sun shined and waters were calm. Have another Sea Bass trip tomorrow hoping things change and it is back to normal with a boat limit catch? I have the full week open except next Sunday so before Sea Bass season comes to an end book the last couple of days now. Thomas Joseph is feeling better and I hope he is fishing with me. Bunker boats were outside MI today...I’m sure it was weakies and bass too they were netting. Does anyone find it surprising the ocean bite was not there this year....no bunker no bite

I can tell you where the bunker are .... 15 miles out :(

We found small bunker offshore about 6 miles and also off the ammo pier on the way in. They did not appear to have any bass or bluefish harassing them.

No way is it over on June17. Bass are coming out of the Hudson after spawning every June. There are more Chessy fish coming North but that run is determined by where the bunker are.

Seems everything is late this year. One positive note, the seabass we landed yesterday were spitting up sand eels.
