Any blues in sandy hook bay?
 

Hey guys, not to many reports from sandy hook bay or the Shrewsbury River. I usually rent a skiff this time of the year and get into the blues. Has anyone caught anything here?

fished both on friday. no signs of bluefish anywhere.

Negative but the rivers are loaded with bass! Blues are down south I believe

Most guys are happy the blues are staying away.Chunking bass in Raritan Bay can be ruined by the yellow eye demons.

They will be in the river any day.The pound net off sandy hook had a load of Jumbo Yellow eyes a day or two ago along with some weakfish...

I read somewhere that guys are getting blues in Great South Bay on the south shore of Long Island. This is the 2nd time I can remember Long Island seeing blues before NJ, both times Post super storm sandy. It seems to me that things changed since that storm. Heck the head boats don’t even have grinders on them, remember chumming at 17, the farms, etc?..... haven’t really done that since before that storm... my 10yo only knows throwing jigs, it’s a new game...

tons if you know where to go. last fish was 39" - all were about that size - monsta's
