Getting Ready
 

Been a long winter but the end is in site. First day of work on the boat today wash, wax, touch up the bottom paint, change the oil and hopefully in sometime next week.

Our old gal is a 2000 but with some elbow grease and some help from our boat buddies, she shines up like new. We've been using Collinite Fleet Wax and it does a great job on the hull.

I wish there was a better product for the non skid. We can get it clean but haven't found anything that works well to seal and protecting it from staining. I use Wooddy wax occasionally but it doesn't last. Any suggestions?

Gerry I've read some things about the Starbrite deck wash, it has PTEF in it. Cleans and protects they claim

I might give that a shot Tony.... In the mean time, woody wax is pretty easy so if the stuff you suggested doesn't last either, I'll probably stick with it.

The woody wax also works to shine up and protect the aluminum hard top pipes and I use it in places where it's hard to wax as well as removing black streaks on the hull.

Easy on easy off but the stuff is expensive.

I use the Starbrite deck wash - to me it is more of a cleaner than a protector. Cleans the non-skid well but not necessarily that cheap to use.
