Place your report on NJFishing. The redirect to a private link is BS. Thanks

While I agree with your sentiment, hyperlinking drives traffic to your website, which can (maybe not in this case) be a for profit endeavor, clicks = money on the internet, so I agree with rumster's assessment of BS

Put up or shut up ! Pretty simple to post an earnest report. Not asking for much.

We had the same conversation back at the end of December and Capt. Bob explained why he does this. What more do you want? So don't click on the report if you don't want to.....is it really that big of a deal?

OE is a site sponsor... linking to his site is important for his business.

What do you care where a report is?

It's not a big deal, but there's something to be said for transparency. And in all honesty, in a customer service viewpoint, the captain's response was kind of ill advised, it definitely made me feel that if that's how he responds to potential customers on the internet, that's probably the type of answers I would get if I were on his boat. To be clear, not a big deal at all, I agree in sentiment with the captain's response. But, in a highly competitive arena, is it wise to come off as an uncompromising business owner who would rather offend a potential customer than just type a simple explanation?

Re: Ocean Explorer Codfish Weekend.

His short response was likely due to the fact that he already responded to the same exact issue in a post which included the same member who is now again making the request. The nonsense and negativity gets old....he is not offending a potential customer, he is replying to a troll.

wow... Guy is trying to make a living -give him a break.
He's been taking guys out all through this long tough winter when most have thrown in the towel long ago.. Guarantee he isn't getting fat on his few fares past few months, especially given the distances he has to go to try and scare up a few fish in 38 degree water.
He doesn't bullshit either, when the fishing sucks he says so..

Lighten up and let him explain the situation, and keep potential customers informed..

Never been out on the OE, but only because his boat always has the biggest crowds- , which is saying something, don't you think?

Besides, if the site administrators don't have a problem with the captains post, why should any of the members/contributors have a problem with it?.. bob
