Looking for a summer slip. Any one know about this marina?

South of a drawbridge.

Where is it? Often these marinas change names, are known under their old name.

Google it. There are 5 reviews. I learned that after I got a butcher haircut at North Brunswick Great Clips.

Re: Trade Winds Marina
Good marina, I keep my boat there year round for the past 2 years. Everyone there friendly & helpful, clean bathrooms, water/electricity available, security gate works off keyfob, table to clean your fish, security cameras, water available till December & few marina bbqs also. The only thing is you need to be aware of the tides due to the floodgate, on full/new moon especially because you will be stuck inside or outside the gate. Great slip price as well.

Re: Trade Winds Marina
I had a friend in there for several years.... The flood gate can be a pain so you need to be aware of that and plan the timing of your trips accordingly or you can get stuck waiting. He never had any issues there with theft or anything.. I know this place has changed hands a few times so not sure what's up with that.
The channel entrance, at least the last time I was there, is marked by sticks. Kind of screwy and if someone hits one they fall out of place... Seems like they have some shoaling issues from time to time right outside the gate on the bay side but they do a pretty good job keeping on top of that with dredging. |
Re: Trade Winds Marina
Duh! It's a renamed marina in Keansburg. I guess that makes it there for years?
The flood gates and the Bay side approach was hairy. They dredged it a few years back. The approach near the food gate has a last minute weird twist. Daunting at night with a new moon. Quote:
