1st Kayak Trip of 2018
 

With all the rain we gave been having I figured the rivers would be a mess so i decided to take the kayak out for the 1st time this year. Very foggy early but cleared to blue skies by 10am. Water temp was only 40 so I decided to work the bottom of the deepest spots on the lake. I threw jigs and plastics bouncing them off the bottom. Lost 1 fish that hit the jig on the drop. That was it. Called it a day around noon. Skunked but still felt great to be on tge water.

Koop. I got skunked as well. Wind kicked up good after 12. You made the right call. It was nice to be out on the open water though. Good times are coming.

yes sir that was me in the green kayak....dead sea along the western front...

I hit Hopatcong yesterday after the rain and found the perch right where I left them when on the ice...ton of fun on the UL

Nice, i think when the water temp comes up a bit the bite will turn on. Keep me in mind if you ever want to fish together. I'm always up for some company.
