Key West Charter Help
Can anyone recommend a charter boat or two for fishing in Key West the first week in May? And what's the best fish to target at that time? Thank you for your help and input.

Re: Key West Charter Help
They have a place called Charter boat row where most of the boats sail. Suggest you pay that a visit when the boats normally return and you can see for yourself who has the hot hand. Some boats do joint charters so you don't have to break the bank.

Re: Key West Charter Help
No specific charter captain or boat but May is tarpon time in the Keys. You can get a captain to take you out for a "tide" for tarpon.
It's a little cheaper than a full day charter & very exciting if you hook up. Good Luck |

Re: Key West Charter Help
I went out with Dream Catcher Charters last spring and had a great time. They have a fleet ranging from off-shore center consoles to flats boats. I did a half day back country by myself and hooked three tarpon on flies, (none landed).
