good off shore sea bass

fished a ns out of point fri-sat.fishing was good for the conditions we had.i was able to jig a few jumbo biscuits as well as catch them on bait.there was constant action between the sea bass and porgy's and some blues.looking forward again to this fri-sat trip.

4 to 6 oz gold hammer jigs. Went 12/4 block island, had to use 6 oz because of the supermoon. Had action from start to finish. Stayed away from small porgys by using jig.

i was using 4oz blue/silver ava47.was catching a few big porgys on the jig as well.there were some blues that made it tough to get to the sea bass but when they left it alone the biscuits would eat it.i bring 4,6 & 8oz with me.hoping this colder weather scares those bluefish off.

Depending on current ....which can be screaming at times. You can get away w 4-6 oz jigs as you are anchored. Try the shimano butterfly in green or blue mackerel print. Not sure what the grams are but try to get what feels like a 5 or 6 oz.. Outstanding jig!! If they are hitting jigs u will b pleasantly surprized!! And your hands will stay warm in gloves from not baiting the hook:D
