Saturday morning Rain-Blows!!! 11/18

Only had 4-5 hours to fish this morning! Hit a stream that's stocked with Trout! The Trout were feeding heavy all morning and thoroughly enjoyed the treble hooks they ate for breakfast. Bounced around and caught like a dozen Rainbows, biggest was 18 inches! Plugs got em! It was an exhilarating morning of Troutin'!!!! TIGHT LINEZ! YEA BUDDY!!!!

Weeeeeeeee Woooooooo!!!!!

Sweet. Is the first pic a wild, maybe a holdover?

That fish was like 8-9 inches and jumped out of the water 7 times! Fought pretty hard. Possibly a spring holdover. If you look at the pic you can see some blueish spots showing through. Hmmmmmm, I'll stick with holdover!

I'm not familiar with what the blue spots mean, nor have I ever really noticed them on rainbows.

Either way nice to get a lil cute one along with the fall stockies ;)

The cute one was the best fight of the day. The fall stockies are fertilizer for my garden. Young Rainbows and wild Rainbows have some blue spots under the red stripe. I still say it's a holdover with the full fins.

I'm certain that the bluish spots/marks are parr marks that have not fully faded. Fingerlings (parrs) use them as camouflage. The marks are quite obvious on many of the spring-released trout.
