South Branch 'Bows
Finally hooked into my first fall-stockie trout. Didnt expect to end up with three.
Unfortunately the helpful camera man had no luck. Oddly no other fish were caught; smallies, sunnies, fallfish etc. I cant say Im complaining however. All fish caught on a pink 1/16oz marabou jig. 4lb test, but most of the fights were short lived. However the initial smack they give the jig was always aggressive and put a smile on my face. Pics. You're more of a jerkbait guy, judging from your previous post? I dont use em as much as jigs myself, despite buying like a bunch of micro sized floating rapalas that I should put to more use. I fish em just like a jerkbait sometimes, just that they work vertically a bit more than side to side. I dont think the trout I caught really cared however, they just wanted some pink! |

Re: South Branch 'Bows
nice job. For some reason these fall trout fight like dish towels, always do, same fish in the spring would peel drag, these hit hard then pack it in:confused:
