TOGMASTERS AGAIN Undo Redo Dec
 

Had the tog finatics out again for some catch and release blackfishin.These guys put on a clinic of jigging.After about an hour of conventional toggin ,i gave in.I was catchin but not like these guys.They would hit the bottom for a few seconds and swing,either miss or hookup.This stubborn old man is not to proud to try something new,let me tell youguys,this is the way of the future.I warn you,it can be frustrating but it sure is a lot of fun.There will be days when the normal rig will work but when its not, u need to give jigging a shot.Believe me thursday was unreal.ITS NOT THE YEARS IN YOUR LIFE BUT THE LIFE IN YOUR YEARS THAT MATTERS.CAPT.TOMMY JOSEPH PS THE TRIO OF ALLSTARS WAS MADE UP BY HENRY,BILL AND ERIC

Glad to hear you guys had a great trip. Henry is the best i have seen with the jig as he has been doing it the longest and seems to catch them on jig regardless of depth. Both Bill and Eric have really taken to it and can hold there own with the best of them. I have seen enough off these guys catching that i have gone over to the dark side. As Tommy says regardless of how long you have done something there is always ways to improve if you keep an open mind. Tommy is being humble as usual as i did same type of trip about a week ago with the guys and Tommys first attemp at jigging produced a 9+ pounder.
He was just as excited as new kid fishing for the first time. His attitude, passion and zeal for life is infectious

It was great to see the smile and joy in Tommy's face when he hooked up a big tog on a jig with light spinning tackle. Have to agree, he is stubborn, he's been watching me jigging tog for 5-6 years now. Joey, you're on the list to the "dark side".

Beware Joey! It is hard to go back, once you go over to the dark side. We will get you out there if you want to tempt fate. A big thanks to Tommy and Ed for a great day. They both had some real nice fish on the jig and were asking a lot of questions about the best gear to use. It sure is fun to be togging in shirt sleeves for a change.
